Macclesfield: Second Sunderland Street takeaway on rental market in as many months
A second takeaway in as many months has come on the property market.
Following a new tenant looking to take over Mac Flames was announced last month, one of their neighbouring food delivery businesses has also gone up for rent.
Mac Aleppo, a relatively new takeaway which serves pizzas, burgers and kebabs is on the rental market.
The business, which shares the name with a Syrian city is situated on 33 Sunderland Street.
The rent is £11,000, which is less than similar nearby business Mac Flames.
The search for a new person to run the premises is being promoted by Macclesfield's Greenham Commercial.
The news comes as no surprise to those who have been following the Macclesfield town centre takeaway market in recent months.
A Mexican on Mill Street shut down and the building owners decided it would not become another takeaway in this economic climate. Also on Mill Street, the site of a takeaway with a similar menu to Mac Aleppo went up for auction last month.
Businesses are also feeling the pinch of the rising cost of living, with the nature of these businesses using lots of gas and electricity to serve customers.
