A Macclesfield water brand has just become cooler, as it has become the official water for New York Fashion Week 2024.

Crag Spring Water, which is sourced on site in Wildboarclough, will be drank by those at the cutting edge of global fashion next year.

New York Fashion Week will take place from from February 9 to February 11 2024.

Macclesfield's number one water expert Doran Binder, who co-discovered the water supply running under The Crag Inn in 2016, reacted to the news.

"This is the biggest annoucement of my life," said Doran.

"I can't actually believe it, but it is true. Crag Spring Water is the official water of New York Fashion Week 2024.

"I just want to say a massive thank you to New York Fashion Week for inviting us. I'm blown away.

"Obviously it is incredibly, exciting, it is an absolute honour and a privilege.

"And I am stunned by it. So thank you to everyone who is engaging, following and taking an interest in what we are doing, because it appears to be working."

The natural water - which is sold in cans and bottles in Macclesfield - will now be enjoyed in Manhattan next February.

"It feels amazing," added Doran.

"We are here in the Peak District, and our water is going to be in New York.

"For a small, local family brand to be in what is like the World Cup final for fashion is beyond belief."

The international Macclesfield-based news comes just weeks after Crag Spring Water was sold in canned form for the first-time ever.
