The White Lion pub will relaunch in Macclesfield tomorrow after a £40,000 refurbishment.

As well as new furnishings, upholstery and toilets, the general feel of the pub that it is brighter and feels cosier.

The new sports room will be great for enjoying their new small plates menu, in a space which can also double up for a dance floor for events.

And Saturday from 7pm will see that happen with live music on all evening.

Outdoors has also received some TLC.

"Our relaunch night will start with a free buffet in the daytime and entertainment in the evening, said Jack Bellis who co-runs the pub with fellow Macclesfield resident Kyle Frost.

"We will have three performers being DJ Jordan Wilson, Singer Luke Stevenson and DJ Melling, spread across the pub.

"Meaning that we will be the only Macclesfield venue to have three Macclesfield musicians playing simultaneously this Bank Holiday weekend.

"Thank you to Punch Pubs for the refurb and to the people of Macclesfield for their support."

There's plenty of vintage pictures of Macclesfield indoors.
