A main road into Macclesfield is currently closed following a crash.

Congleton Road has been shut by police following a crash involving two vehicles at the junction of Lowes Lane.

While there are not believed to be any serious injuries, the crash has resulted in a fuel spillage, with highways officers called to the scene.

As such, a road closure was put in place at around 4.30pm on Thursday, March 19, to allow for a full clean.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service crews are also in attendance.
