A Macclesfield café and restaurant are giving away a FREE meal to launch their new evening menu.
All Things Nice Bakery and Deli - of 10 Chestergate - opened in Macclesfield last September,
Friends Nick Garner, Tom Norris and Dean Blackwell opened their first All Things Nice in Marple in 2020, and now their second restaurant in Macclesfield is to expand with new food offerings.
They have made minor changes to the menu, but summer has brought a menu overhaul and expansion of their evening menu.
To celebrate the launch, they are giving away a FREE meal tab paid for, if you make a Friday or Saturday booking this weekend and follow them on Instagram.
Just make sure you book an evening meal at their Macclesfield premises.
"We've been doing an evening menu since we opened," said Nick.
"It is just on Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 9pm, with our bar open until 10.
"This is in addition to our regular daytime opening hours seven days a week.
"The evening menu is a small but rotational menu that we change every eight weeks.
"We will have sharing boards that are themed to different cuisines, that will change every two months."
It is currently Middle Eastern, with dishes such as Chickpea + Squash Tangine (Morocco), Baked Baklava Cheesecake (Cyprus), Shawarma and Baba Ganoush being highlights on the evening menu for the next few weekends.
They are served as small plates starting from £5.00, with mezze boards showing off the menu's greatest hits also being an option for larger parties.
"We have a meat and fish mezze and a vegetarian one which can be adapted to vegans as well", said Tom.
"So a mezze with one or two small plates, you get a perfect taste of the full evening menu really.
"Future country-themed evening menus to come will be British Summer, French and Asian.
"We'll also do Scandinavian in the winter. We leave a lot of the menu items down to our chefs who are creative, highly skilled, and very experienced. So stay tuned for more details on the future evening menus."
To compliment the international-inspired evening menus, there will be limited edition wines alongside their regular wide array of alcoholic beverages.
"We'll increase the amount of English wines we offer this summer," added Tom.
"My background is in drink, so I'm very proud of our classic cocktails menu, it is all your favourite cocktails done at a high quality."
"That is sort of the ethos that drives all the business," chimed in Nick.
The weekend nighttime sessions can be booked - should you want to enter the current contest - or you can just walk in.
If you can't make a Friday or Saturday evening meal, then don't fret, as their daytime menu serves from 7:30am during the week and a little later at weekends.
They've also just revamped their breakfast and lunch menu, to offer all day brunch for the first time.
"We're going to increase the amount of special offers on food, to get more people to come and try us," explained Tom.
"At the moment people want to make their money stretch as far as it can, which is obviously understandable with the times we are in. So we want to accommodate that."
"Price and affordability were at the forefront of the new day and evening menus," revealed Nick.
"If you look at the dinner menu, on the vegetable side, there is nothing above £5, and that was the chef's decision.
"We've recently benefited from quite a big reduction in our energy bills over the last few months.
"We've managed to pass on to that savings to the customers as well. So we've managed to reduce the price of some of our fast-moving items like the price of our hot sandwiches, beans on toast. Some of our deli goods, they've all been cheaper in the past six months because we've been able to bring the price down a little bit.
"We've added a few light bites to our 'on toast' section, which is also another low cost option alongside our best-selling items."
New additions to the menu aside, what has remained consistent is their commitment to serving top quality and local produce at a fair price.
Suppliers wise, they support a Stockport butcher, use products from Macclesfield's Fruits of the Forage, and are buying a bumper stock of Cheshire-grown vegetables this summer.
They also support fellow Chestergate business George in the Jungle, who provide their indoor and outdoor plants for their Macclesfield premises.
Things like the bread and cakes are made by themselves on-site. They have a large range of gluten free products, including sweet treats.
All Things Nice employ 15 in Macclesfield, and almost 30 at their Marple site.
They're open on Treacle Sundays too, and the Treacle Market is an event the business has fallen in love with.
"We wish we had something like the Treacle Market in Marple", explained Nick.
"It is fantastic for the people of Macclesfield to have.
"What we have learned about Macclesfield is that it is more city-like than we thought it was.
"If you compare it to Marple, it is a lot more residential. But here, we have a lot of professionals who come in on their lunch breaks.
"So we are working a lot more on our grab-and-go offering.
"In the near future, we will launch a menu that we can prepare for those in a rush who want to come in, grab and sandwich in a box then head back to work.
"That will certainly be cheaper than our eat in prices, we do already offer a take-out menu but we really want to appeal to people who want to be in and out in a few minutes on their lunch break, offering them lunch for five to six quid.
