A huge emergency service presence was called to reports of an incident on the railway tracks.

Several police cars and ambulances were spotted on Byron's Lane on Thursday night, August 28.

This followed reports of a casualty on the tracks, with a police helicopter seen circling the skies above.

However, British Transport Police have confirmed that following an 'extensive' search, no such casualty was found.

"Paramedics also attended.

"An extensive search of the area was conducted and thankfully no person was found."
