Dick Dastardly and former Nub News editor among Rossendale Trust team to run London Marathon

It was a real-life Wacky Races at this year's London Marathon, as a determined team of Rossendale Trust supporters powered their way around the iconic 26.2-mile course—raising an incredible £13,000 along the way.
The Rossendale Trust, a Sutton-based charity based which supports adults with learning disabilities, is celebrating the achievements of former Macclesfield Nub News editor Alex Greensmith, Ella Barnard, and Harry Whitehead.
They were joined on the capital streets on Sunday, April 26, by long-standing supporter Toby Eyre, who added a dash of mischief and nostalgia by completing the marathon in full fancy dress as the legendary cartoon character Dick Dastardly.
Between them, they raised over £13,000 which will directly support the Rossendale Trust's vital work, helping to provide life-enhancing opportunities and services for the people it supports.

Susanne Tidswell, the charity's fundraising officer, said: "We couldn't be prouder of Alex, Ella, Harry, and Toby.
"Taking on the London Marathon is an incredible achievement, and to do so while raising over £13,000 is simply fantastic.
"Toby's Dick Dastardly outfit certainly turned heads, but every runner was a true champion on the day.
"We're so grateful for their dedication and for the generosity of everyone who supported them."
