Macclesfield vets expand pet health plan, offering even more benefits for cat owners
By Matthew Hancock-Bruce 24th Mar 2026
A Macclesfield veterinary practice has made it even easier for cat owners to stay on top of their pet's health.
Wright and Morten Vets on Heather Close has announced the expansion of its Pet Health Club plan.
One of the biggest changes is the introduction of additional benefits for cats at no extra cost.
Pet Health Club champion Natalie Barton says these changes reflect a wider shift in veterinary care.
"It's all about prevention rather than cure," she said.
"By removing barriers like cost and access, we're helping owners do the very best for their pets.
"We're really excited about these updates, especially for our cat owners.
"Preventative care is so important, and these new benefits make it easier than ever for people to stay on top of their cat's health."

The updated Pet Health Club plan launched on Monday, March 23.
Cats aged seven and over on the Plus plan will now receive an annual wellness screening, designed to help detect health concerns earlier.
Those on the Essential plan will also benefit from a 50% discount on this screening.
Pet Health Club champion Polly Gaskell highlighted how access to care has also been improved.
She said: "One of the biggest barriers for owners can be knowing when to seek advice.
"With 24/7 online consultations now included in the Essential plan, people can speak to a professional anytime, which is a huge step forward."

The updated plan also introduces annual blood pressure testing for cats, carried out during their routine six-month health check.
This is particularly valuable for older cats, where conditions like high blood pressure can often go unnoticed.
"These checks might sound small, but they can make a big difference," Polly added.
"Catching issues early means we can treat them sooner and keep pets healthier for longer."
