Solar Eclipse @ Libby's Patch Farm

It's eyes to the skies on Wednesday evening as UK prepares for its most dramatic partial solar eclipse in nearly three decades.

Libby's Patch Farm near Gawsworth are celebrating with a special sunset session.

Expect stone baked pizzas, fresh coffee and farm's iconic sunflower trail at this one-night-only event.

The weekend gets started early with Poetry Pandemonium returning to Mash Guru.

The August edition will feature poetry double-act, the Misplaced Apostrophe's, aka Nick Degg and Mark the Poet, plus open mic.

Entry is just £3.

Saturday (15/08)

Macclesfield Party Beer Trail

Macclesfield goes beer crazy on Saturday with bars and breweries across the town taking part in this party trail.

Grab a stamp card from any of the participating venues and fill it out to be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes.

Among those included in the trail are R&G's Beer Vault and Bollington Brewery Tap.

Macclesfield v Radcliffe

Macclesfield FC welcome Radcliffe to the Leasing.com Stadium for their first home game of the 2026/27 National League North season.

John Rooney's side will be hoping to build on their impressive start, having come away from Marine with a 1-0 win in their opening fixture.

The Silkmen will however be without the presence of club founder Robert Smethurst, who recently announced he had resigned as director.

The Hair Social Club

The Hair Social Club is a new networking community designed to bring hairdressers together.

Their first event will take place this Sunday and will include interactive activities such as a personalised charm bar, hairdressing bingo, a foiling competition, networking opportunities, food and refreshments, prizes and a swag bag for every attendee.

Founder, Izzy, said: "After noticing there weren't many opportunities for hair professionals to meet outside of training courses and trade shows, I decided to create an event focused on building genuine friendships, industry connections and confidence."
