A discount outlet in Macclesfield has grown in size and now boasts even more stock.

AJ's Bargains at Brookside Mill has expanded for the second time.

It marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the business, which opened its doors just last year.

Owner, Anthony James Price, said: "It has been a crazy year!

"Just before Christmas last year we had to expand and this year, we knew we needed more space.

"So we have done it again and its even bigger than we had originally planned!"

Anthony added: "The shop is now much better for our customers, with wider walkways and even more stock.

"I'm looking forward to getting new items out on the shelves.

"In fact, we have already put Christmas products out as we have such a big space to fill!"

AJ's Bargains opened on Union Street in October 2025.

Describing it as 'B&M meets car boot', Macclesfield-born Anthony threw his life savings into the business.

Thankfully, the move appears to paying off, with the store having quickly cemented itself as a firm favourite among local residents.

"The Macclesfield community has been amazing," Anthony said.

"We have so many regular customers.

"I would just like to say a massive thanks to all of them.

"Without them, this simply would not be possible."

Following a short break, the expanded AJ's opened on Thursday, September 17.

You can now also find them on eBay, with over 1,200 items currently available for sale via the online marketplace.
