Macc.xyz May Meetup

The Macc.xyz tech community returns to Bollington Brewery for its third monthly meetup.
Following two packed events with over 100 attendees, the evening offers a mix of high-level tech talks and informal networking for Macclesfield's growing digital sector.
This month's event will feature talks from Gareth Langley, discussing how Piing build 100,000-layer interactive games for stadium jumbo screens at some of the world's biggest sporting events, and Chris Garrett, who will draw on 20 years of experience building award-winning tech for brands like Apple and Spotify.
Friday (08/05)
Spring Sale

Following the success of last year's plant sale, the Silk Museum is preparing to host a Grand Spring Sale.
Expect locally grown plants, second-hand and specialist books, and unique fabrics and textiles.
The sale will run from 10am to 3pm on both Friday and Saturday, with a diverse range of items staged across the museum's garden, shop, and galleries.

Macc Beer Festival

Macc Beer Festival is back for its 30th year!
Promising yet another stacked lineup of popular music artists and award-winning brews, this year's festival will be raising money for Macclesfield Boys Boxing Club and Cardiac Risk in the Young.
Among those taking to the stage will be Toploader, whose hit song 'Dancing in the Moonlight' has over a billion listens on Spotify.

Macclesfield Wine Fair

Head over to Macclesfield Golf Club on Sunday for their Wine Fair.
You can enjoy unlimited wine tastings, live DJ sets and grazing platters.
There will also be discounts available as well as the chance to chat with experts.

Kinky Boots

Looking ahead to next week, Kinky Boots arrives at Bollington Civil Hall on Tuesday, May 12.
With six performances over five days, there is plenty of opportunity to catch the latest production from Bollington Musical Theatre Group.

Poetry Pandemonium

The next Poetry Pandemonium at Mash Guru will see the return of Salford's celebrated spoken word artist, Culain Wood.
Meanwhile, Zena Barrie will be bringing her innovative fusion of poetry and story telling.
There will also be more ramblings from regular host, Mark the Poet, and open-mic opportunities for anyone who wants to share their thoughts and their words.
