Teen accused of stealing from shops in Macclesfield and Congleton due in court

A teenager accused of stealing from shops in Macclesfield and Congleton is due in court.

Jonathan Schneider, of George Street West in Macclesfield, has been charged with four counts of theft from a shop.

It follows alleged thefts at Morrisons Local on St John's Road in Congleton between January 6 and 13 and Tesco Extra on Hibel Road in Macclesfield on January 13.

The 18-year-old also faces a charge of possesing counterfeit money.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Chester Magistrates on Monday, January 19.
