Two empty shops hopefully won't be empty for long, as they have gone on the property market.

The Merchant Exchange on Waters Green, formerly housed Pizza Hut and Aroma Sandwich Bar, before they closed and the bailiffs came in last year.

Now, entrepreneurs can take up the opportunity to lease the commercial units for a new purpose.

A sign outside even suggests potential uses for the units.

Williams Sillitoe are trying to find new tenants for the commercial units.

The units can be leased individually or as one.

The old Pizza Hut unit comprises 1,180 Sq Ft and is available for £15,000 per annum.

The former Aroma Sandwich Bar premises to the right, is made up of 680 square feet, and is on the market for £10,000 per annum.

A potential tenant can snap them both up together for £25,000 per annum.

A statement on the Williams Sillitoe website describes the properties as "Ground floor retail units which are available either independently or combined, suitable for a variety of uses."

"Both units benefit from fully glazed shop fronts offering maximum exposure to passing trade."

The business rate rateable value for the left unit is £10,500, whereas the smaller neighbour has rates of £8,400.
