A Macclesfield charity shop is selling a football signed by three former professional football players.
Animal rescue charity Windyway's Trust shop on Chestergate, has a classic football for sale which is signed by former legends of the English game, perfect for if you are interested in vintage football collectibles.
It costs £45, and at Windyway's charity shop on the same side of the road as Isona hairdressers and The Chestergate hotel.
One of the players is Peter Barnes who is a former football player, manager and pundit which will be known to both local reds and blues!
Some of clubs he played for were Manchester City, Manchester United and Coventry City. His journeyman career spanned 19 years from 1974 and 1998.
He played as a left-winger for over 25 clubs across 8 countries in his time as a player.
Barnes was capped 22 times by England, scoring four times.
Barnes was named as PFA Young Player of the Year and played in the UEFA Cup.
Another player who has signed this collector's football is Joe Corrigan.
Mr Corrigan, who was recently part of a raffle in Macclesfield in aid of Ukraine, was capped nine times for England.
Mr Corrigan is a former professional football player who played as goalkeeper for teams such as Manchester City, Norwich City and Stoke City.
He played from 1967 to 1984, appearing intermittently between the sticks for England across six years as well.
Mr Corrigan spent 16 seasons at Manchester City winning the UEFA Cup Winners Cup and League Cup twice.
Supporting a Macclesfield charity is not unusual to him. Mr Corrigan is also a patron of Macclesfield charity East Cheshire Hospice.
Finally, Glyn Pardoe has also signed the football and he was an English footballer for Manchester City.
He first joined the club at aged 16 where he became Manchester City's youngest ever player at the time. He played from 1962 to 1976.
His position was a forward, but he converted to a full-back later on in his career.
While playing for Manchester City the team won the League Championship, FA Cup, League cup and European Cup Winners Cup in a three-year period.
The Cheshire-born player, was also capped four times for England Under 23s.
The one club man scored the winning goal for City in the 1970 League Cup Final, in front of over 97,000 fans.
Sadly he passed away on the 26 May 2020 at age 73.
