Remember, you can advertise your Macclesfield events for FREE on our What's On page.
Now let's see what fab four events are on this weekend.
In Sports
On Saturday 20th July, with the Olympics fast approaching, a Macclesfield care home is limbering up for its very own sporting tournament.
The event comes as Hollins Park joins The Big Care UK Sports Day which sees over 130 Care UK homes across the UK host sports days for the local community and showcase what life in a care home is really like.
Guests can soak up the sporting atmosphere and, for those daring to compete, have the chance to win their own gold medals with an afternoon of fun and games, including egg and spoon race, tug of war and sack race.
Visitors can also enjoy a picnic lunch, before ending the day with karaoke and a dessert party.
From 11am-4pm, Care UK's Hollins Park on Victoria Road will be bringing Paris to Macclesfield as it opens its doors to local people to enjoy their own version of the Games.
Classic Car and Motorcycle Show
Classic Shows are delighted to return for the Cheshire Classic Car & Motorcycle Show, taking place on Sunday 21st July 2024 at Capesthorne Hall, a stunning location to house a fantastic vehicle display.
This family friendly show will feature:
· Vintage, classic and modern classic vehicles on display
· Trade, autojumble & retail stands
· Full vehicle concourse overseen by an experienced commentator
· Quality food, drink, ice cream and responsible bar
· Access to the grounds of this stunning venue
Advance visitor tickets are available to purchase online until 5pm on Friday, two days before the event. After this time visitors will need to purchase a ticket on arrival at the event.
Live Music
Playing fantastic music from all your favourites from the 70s and 80s, this event in the Church house Inn provides some amazing entertainment to go with great beer, locally sourced food and a great location.
From Fleetwood Mack to The Bangles, Nightflight play music to rock out and bring energy and fun anywhere they go.
Open from 12pm, The Church house will begin the entertainment at 2:30pm.
Tegg's Nose
On Saturday 20th July, a Butterfly Walk event will be held at a Macclesfield country park.
The family wildlife walk around the top of Tegg's Nose Country Park involves looking for and learn more about some of the park's resident butterfly species and, if you are lucky, seeing the scarce local speciality, namely, the Wall butterfly.
Ideal for families and accompanied children, the event offers a brilliant walk around nature and a refreshment stop where you can bring binoculars and spot all sorts of wonderous wildlife.
Tegg's Nose is a popular area for walking and attracts visitors from the local area and beyond who come to the park to enjoy the stunning views of the park and across the Cheshire plain, as well as learn more about the history of the area.
Children under 16 can go for free and for adults, the price is only five pounds to enjoy the unique landscape from 11-1pm.
Book in advance to meet at Tegg's Nose Country Park Visitor Centre, Buxton Old Road, Macclesfield, SK11 0AP (SJ950733).
