Rewind Festival

In music, Capesthorne Hall musical festival Rewind is back for another year.

Rewind North 2024 will see headliners Billy Ocean and Squeeze come to Macclesfield.

Local legend Peter Hook of Joy Division and New Order fame is also performing on the Sunday.

In Beer

Wincle Brewery is hosting an open tap night this Friday.

Macclesfield Nub News sponsor Wincle Brewery is hosting an open tap night on Friday.

5:30pm to 8:30pm. Try summery local beers just metres away from where they are brewed.

And remember Spanish Caravan? Well, the Macclesfield paella royalty will be getting the big pan out to provide delicious Iberian food on the night.

In the Countryside

This Friday and Saturday it is the Macclesfield Sheepdog Trials.

£5 per adult, children go free.

Competitors from across the UK and abroad will be taking part.

Previous events have seen interest from the BBC.

Cheshire Derby

Macclesfield FC, of London Road.

A Cheshire derby will take place at the home of Macclesfield FC this Saturday, as the Silkmen take on Chester.

In what was once a football league fixture, the battle of the biggest Cheshire phoenix clubs (sorry Northwich) kicks-off at 3pm.

It is the final pre-season friendly for Robbie Savage's men, and the last home game until August 13.
