Dandelionjames

Macclesfield band Dandelionjames will play Mash Guru on 5 Back Wallgate this Friday.

Led by singer-songwriter Daniel James who grew up on the Moss Estate, lists Ben Howard, Bon Iver and Tame Impala as influences.

He's on stage at 10pm. Read our interview with the band last year here.

Live Music, Great Pizza and Local Beer

73 Oxford Road business 73andPizza Macclesfield will be hosting their first live music event this Sunday from 3pm to 6pm.

Local musician Harrison Wyatt will be playing a mix of acoustic and electric covers. (See poster)

Grant of the Happy Valley Brewing associated venue said: "Performing musicians have struggled to find a space to play after going through a tough lockdown and I want to try and accommodate that so, come down and support your local artists and music scene for a beer or two, or even a pizza as we have a lunchtime offer, £9.50 for any pizza and soft drink.

"It is free entry, but please call ahead to book a table to ensure you get a seat on: 01625 403988.

David Bowie Art Class

Ground control to Major Tom... take your painting skills and put your brush on Terrible Bowie puns aside, you can meet virtually meet fans of David Bowie and watercolour paint the rock star this weekend.
