It is the busiest Treacle Market of the year, so here's what to expect.

Pre-Christmas vibes will be a plenty as the penultimate Treacle before the big day.

"It is my favourite Treacle Market of the year," said Treacle Market Co-Organiser Becky Thompson.

"We're absolutely jam-packed full. We're changing the layout slightly to fit the stalls around the Christmas tree.

"New additions include Tytherington make-up artist Danielle Barlow doing festive facepainting, next to Jimmy Scissors Mobile Barbers.

"Lyme Green's Caravan Bar will be the mobile bar serving mulled wine and hot chocolate for festive vibes.

"For the first time, Macclesfield cider business SiDa will be serving actual cider from a barrel as opposed to just the bottles they will be selling. They'll also be selling mulled cider.

"They'll be on Castle Street, as will be the Bollin Brass Quintet.

SiDa are also selling their new Dry Maxonian drink for the first time, which is a mix of Macclesfield apples.

"Urban Vixen will be going around the streets advertising their new bottomless brunch, which takes place after the event. People can get a photo with their character called 'the Mirrorman'.

"There's a new handmade local gin maker on Market Place.

"We're also delighted to announce that there are more coaches after we've had some more space allocated on the Duke Street Car Park. We've got coaches as far as Lincolnshire coming this time.

Treacle Co-Organiser Andy Thompson teased what next year will see for Macclesfield's artisan market.

"For 2023, we are going to introduce a new Treacle Market map, done by Macclesfield illustrator Dick Vincent," he said.

"We also want to work out our digital online shop offering.

"We also want to expand our relationship with the regular shops and restaurants on the high street, and continue the symbiosis we already have.

"Thank you everyone for your support over the past year, and we are looking forward to the final Treacle Market of 2022 on December 18.

"And just finally, we think it is not too soon to say Happy Christmas to everyone. Enjoy the Market!"
