It is the first Treacle Market of the year!

As the market enters its fourteenth year, Macclesfield Nub News is previewing what to look forward to.

With Valentine's only two-and-a-half weeks away, this is a perfect opportunity to get that perfect gift.

New at the market this month is Macclesfield College, who will have a band stage near the Appleblinds shop on Castle Street.

In future Treacle Markets Macc College will hope to sell art pieces by students, and showcase other subjects to Treacletown as well.

Elsewhere there's a big reshuffle in the Butter Market. With mobile barber Jimmyscissors moving indoors, and new treader BESTOKE pebble art making her Treacle Market debut.

Lyme Green-based Caravan Bar will be positioned on Market Place. And Macclesfield musician Joel Gardener will be performing feelgood songs.

Despite the scaffolding on Chestergate, there are vendors positioned either side of it at a safe distance.

It will be the debut Treacle Market for new high street shops Coffee#1 and B and V Trading.

World Famous Hot Sauces who made their debut late last year will be wowing people's tastebuds for the second time on Exchange Street.

Charities with buckets will be Macclesfield Academy collecting for a big Thailand trip, One Project, Girlguiding North West, Scout Jamboree, Macclesfield Ukrainian Aid Donation Point and SAVE DANES MOSS.

So head down to the same place, same time, and view Macclesfield in its element.
