It is almost the weekend, so it is time Nub News round-ups the best events to do for the next few days.

Here's four of the best events happening in Macclesfield this weekend.

REMEMBER: You can advertise your Macclesfield event for free on our What's On section - where some of the entries in the list have been taken from.

Events listed on our What's On page also get featured in this weekly round-up.

Treacle Market

From 10 am to 3.30pm on Sunday, it is the final Treacle Market of the year.

Come along and catch up with friends, have coffee or mulled cider with loved ones, shop for yourselves or get that Christmas presents list checked off. Enjoy music and entertainment plus food to eat while you chat or takeaway for another day.

Shop with over 100 independent, small businesses and enjoy everything that Macclesfield has to offer on a Treacle Sunday too.

If you need extra time to do the Christmas shopping, you can keep the kids busy at an art workshop on King Edward Street.

Treacle organisers have been posting Christmas gift ideas for under a tenner on Facebook throughout the week.

Nativity for All

As the Treacle Market begins, so will a Nativity.

Warm up, use the a cafe and enjoy local theatre from 10am Sunday 18th December at St. Michael's on Market Place, Macclesfield.

The Christmas story with a difference; something for everyone - come along as a wise man/woman, shepherd/shepherdess or angel and join in the fun.

The central Macclesfield church will be hosting multiple events over the festive period, including on Saturday too.

Find more of the events here.

War Music

If you aren't quite ready to get into the Christmas spirit yet, but fancy some performance, why not head to this concert at The King's School on Alderley Road.

Open to all, the Northern Chamber Orchestra

with Magnus and Guy Johnson present 'Shostakovich and the Music of War'. The music of Haydn will be performed too, and there's just a few tickets left.

Get them here.

Bottomless Brunch

Urban Vixen's opening earlier in the year marked the arrival of the bottomless brunch trend in Macclesfield, and now it is time for their third of the year.

It will take place from 4pm to 6pm. The performer will be drag artist Just Minie.

The Mill Street bar's event is for over 18s only. Get your tickets here.
