Now, without further ado here's the selection of the best things to do in Macclesfield this weekend...

Shakespeare in Love

The play describes itself as 'A gloriously romantic comedy of errors'.

The penultimate performances of Macclesfield's take on Shakespeare in Love will take place on Friday and Saturday evening.

The plot of MADS Theatre's latest production follows a penniless and struggling young playwright William Shakespeare tormented by writer's block.

This until he meets his muse Viola de Lesseps, whose fiery passion for poetry and drama leaves her secretly longing to be an actor. But Viola's father has promised her to Lord Wessex to gain a title for their family. Under a veil of secrecy, Will and Viola's passionate love affair becomes the basis of the very play he is writing. With both opening night and the wedding day fast approaching, will it all work out in the end or are the two star-crossed lovers destined for tragedy?

Front row seats are still available, with tickets from a tenner.
