A sustainable cargo company in Macclesfield is now delivering pizza.

eLOV, started by Macclesfield resident Russ Hope, is now adding pizzas to the endless list of products they can deliver to your door.

They have joined forces with Honest Crust pizzeria, who have been a part of The Picturedrome on Chestergate since it opened.

eLOV's goal is to get more fossil-fuelled powered vehicles off the road, by doing deliveries over a short distance on an electric bike.

There are four pizzas to choose from, that Russ and his team will collect from Honest Crust at The Picturedrome in Macclesfield and deliver to your home or place of work.

This makes pizza, a traditionally delivered product, a perfect fit for Russ to expand his business into.

Honest Crust recently-switched to using sustainable flour, so the partnership with eLOV made perfect sense.

Delivery rider and business owner Russ explained what it is like to work with a like-minded company.

"It feels great to team up," he said.

"Honest Crust [and The Picturedrome in general] don't believe in big national delivery platforms like Deliveroo or JustEat.

"We're a small business, and they're a small business as well so it is great to support each other. Just head to our website to get started.

"I believe pizzas can be delivered by cargo bike, which means there is one less car, van or scooter delivering and emitting carbon dioxide on the road.

"There are other pizza companies in the area, but many are still an international chain. And some are still using a petrol-powered delivery method.

Russ has even ordered a few pizzas himself through the new delivery method. (Image - Alexander Greensmith / Macclesfield Nub News)

"It costs just £5 per transaction, but you can also pay for us to collect deliver other things around town in one transaction. So it is £5 for one order.

"For example, if you wanted a fresh smoothie from Acacia Tree across the road or us to collect some beers from Jack in the Box in The Picturedrome too we could do that for you within the same order."

Whether it is sarnies or single-use plastic, eLOV will collect it.
