The Co-op is hosting donation drive sending free toiletries to help out at Macclesfield Hospital.
The Co-op, which operates nine stores across Macclesfield, Prestbury and Bollington, is helping donate toiletries to East Cheshire NHS Charity.
The charity, based at Macclesfield Hospital, will distribute the toiletries to those who need them on their wards.
So if you'd like to help make a patient's day, why not donate some nice smelling shower gel, or a tube of toothpaste?
All you have to do is buy toiletries at the Co-op as you normally would. Then just mention at the check out that you would like the toiletries to be donated to Macclesfield Hospital. If you don't shop at the Co-op, no problem, other unopened toiletries can be donated as well.
The Macclesfield Hospital toiletry donation drive begins on Monday April 22, and runs for three weeks.
Following the success of Easter eggs donated to staff and patients earlier this year, the Co-op store managers in Macclesfield thought it was a 'no brainer' to do something similar.
All nine local Co-op stores are taking part, from Ivymeade to Thornton Square, West Park to Bollington, Prestbury to Hurdsfield, London Road to Westmorland Close, and Buxton Road.
The last date you can get your donations in is the morning of Monday May 13 (but please do not leave it to the last minute!)
Macclesfield Co-op Member Pioneer Louise Little said: "The Macclesfield Co-op stores are delighted to support Macclesfield Hospital, one of our Local Causes, with this important drive, ensuring that all hospital patients have access to basic amenities and toiletries.
"Co-op Customers can donate new toiletries at any of the local Macclesfield Co-op stores and these will be delivered to Macclesfield Hospital to make patients' stay in hospital a little easier."
Here are some of the things you could donate:
- Children's toothbrushes, to help make kids on their wards smile
- Help make someone feel extra elegant with Dove beauty products
- The Co-op also sell high quality mouthwash
You can save money on Co-op branded toiletries, by becoming a Co-op member.
Co-op members also earn rewards for themselves.
