Labour on course for first-ever Macclesfield victory - Readers' Poll
Labour remain clear favourites to come out on top in Macclesfield next week, according to the results of a new Nub News Readers' Poll.
Tim Roca appears to have very narrowly stretched his lead in the race to become the constituency's new MP, with an independent survey of Macclesfield Nub News newsletter subscribers finding 55.61 per cent of readers would vote for him if the election was held today.
This is an increase of 0.5 per cent on previous Macclesfield Nub News poll, released on June 14. Meanwhile, second and third place has switched around in this poll.
Two weeks ago, Reform UK were second in this Macclesfield Nub News readers' poll, however, these new results see the Conservatives take the runner-up spot.
Conservative candidate David Rutley came second with 16.14 per cent of the vote, inching ahead of Reform UK's Stephen Broadhurst who received 15.7 per cent of the vote.
A larger gap separated the two in the previous readers' poll, when Stephen Broadhurst came second in the poll conducted a fortnight ago.
In fourth place in this new poll, comes Christopher Wellavize. The Independent candidate received a higher vote share than last time, with 5.38 per cent.
In fifth place there is Neil Christian of the Liberal Democrats, he has leapfrogged the Green Party's Amanda Iremonger who was fifth in the June 14 poll.

In seventh place was Dickie Fletcher, of the Social Democratic Party with 0 per cent of the vote, down from the previous poll.
