A young man from north west Macclesfield has started his own business.

Teenager Myles Vernon (18) is the founder of Macclesfield Tech Solutions.

He solves software problems, whether it is on your phone, computer, tablet or other device.

The lifelong Macclesfield resident, of Bollinbrook, explained what his new company is all about.

"Say for example you had an old laptop or an old phone with files on it and you wanted to transfer it over, I can help with that", said Myles.

"There are people of a older demographic that might not know how to do that stuff. That is sort of how the business came about.

"I saw a post on Facebook with somebody having trouble using wifi on their phone, they wanted to switch to it from mobile data. So I contacted them and said I could help you with this.

"And once I sorted it, they said back, 'you could start a business out of this Myles'. And I thought 'yeah why not?'.

If it were possible - Myles would have been born with a PC in his hands. He taught himself to touch type from an early age, and is a keen fan of Apple Mac computers. (Image - Macclesfield Nub News)

"I have already helped family members, teachers and students for this for years. Now I have turned it into a business."

The former Fallibroome Academy pupil is currently studying media at Macclesfield College, but has set himself up for the immediate post-collage life with this new venture.

Every work enquiry is different for Myles, with his latest job solving a TV which would play Netflix with subtitles but without a sound or picture.

He can also help with setting up parental controls, so mums and dads can control what their kids have access to online.

Other areas of his expertise includes retrieving social media accounts which have been hacked and cloud storage.
