It is the tenth ever Bollington Beer Festival at the Bollington Arts Centre this July.

And for this year, the event which raises good money for charity, will benefit multiple good causes.

This is as Bollington (and Macclesfield) charities, schools and organisations can apply for a grant from the proceeds of this summer's event.

This year's Bollington Beer Festival takes place across three sessions.

The event will take place next month. Tickets cost just £8. (Image - Alexander Greensmith / Macclesfield Nub News)

The first is on Friday July 14 from 6-11pm.

The second is a daytime session on Saturday July 15 from 12-5pm, finishing off on July 15 6-11pm.

Chairman Phil Parry told Macclesfield Nub News what to expect:

"We'd like to split the pot this year to help lots of organisations with smaller donations," he said.

"Last year's event [which Macclesfield Nub News volunteered at] raised £16,000 for charity. The beneficiaries were Bollington Arts Centre and Bollington Festival.

"We probably won't make as much this year because the beer prices have gone up, but we are delighted to say that we have held the ticket prices at the same price which is just £8.

"The Festival is funded purely through ticket sales and sponsorships.

"We look forward to welcoming the community for another year."

Once again, local brewers such as Bollington Brewing Co and RedWillow will have a large presence, as will a variety of northern and midlands-based beers. (Image - Alexander Greensmith / Macclesfield Nub News)

Businesses are invited to sponsor one of over 50 barrels. To sponsor, a cider barrel costs £60 and beer is £120. Email [email protected] for more information.
