Macclesfield amateur sports teams did well, at a birthday party for the operators of Macclesfield Leisure Centre.

Everybody Health & Leisure [Everybody], hosted their first ever annual Everybody Games on the weekend, at Congleton Leisure Centre. A three-day extravaganza took place to celebrate Everybody Health & Leisure's 10th Anniversary as a leisure trust.

The challenges consisted of exciting games including a giant jigsaw, archery and many more, all designed to test the participants mind and body, where all the teams involved had an unforgettable experience filled with camaraderie, laughter and healthy competition. Participants at the Community Games engaged in activities such as the climbing a wall, having their faces painted, getting their hair braided and enjoying a BBQ at Everybody's Taste for Life Café.

Here's what a few of the Schools had to say about their experience.

Robert Marks, from Marton School Macclesfield shared:

"The Everybody Games were fantastic. They were really well organised, the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and encouraging. It was a great showcase for the new Leisure Centre in Congleton. I hope this becomes an annual event because the children loved it. Well done Everybody."

Sandy Isherwood, Head of Marfield Primary School Congleton commented:

"Today I've been part of the most fantastic event on a Friday what we call one of our fantastic Fridays that Everybody Health & Leisure put on for the children of their local areas. Over 90 children attended all working hard to do their best, to be ready and resilient and they have been rewarded individually as teams and as a whole community. I can't believe the effort that has gone behind this event, I wish to thank everyone on behalf of all the schools hear today and a huge thank you to Everybody Health & Leisure."

Carla, from The Dingle Primary School Crewe shared:

"Thank you so much for inviting us along to yesterday's school games. It was a wonderful event and so well organised. All the staff were so friendly and great with the kids. We had a fantastic day. The children loved every second! Coming away as winners was obviously great but I honestly think it wouldn't have altered their overall experience if we hadn't won. I have popped our trophy in pride of place on our school trophy cabinet."
