A quirky Macclesfield pub have a new beer garden for the summer.

The Park Tavern, operated by The Bollington Brewing Co., have invested in new furniture and plans in their pre-existing beer garden.

The Park Lane pub have painted the old benches and invested in a few more.

There is now eight benches in their cosy beer garden, which is just a stone's throw from South Park.

New plants have also been introduced into the garden, making it more bee friendly. Which makes sense, given the outdoor seating backs onto some residential gardens.

The Park Tavern Manager Nichola Stevenson, who joined the pub last year, said of the improvements: "It is a great place to come relax with your friends.

"It is a nice peaceful environment, great if you want to come and do some work with a coffee. Overall, a great chilled out vibe."

The Park Tavern is located on 158 Park Ln, Macclesfield SK11 6UB.

Their opening hours are as follows:

Monday 4pm-11pm

Tuesday 4pm-11pm

Wednesday 4pm-11pm

Thursday 4pm-11pm

Friday 4pm-12am

Saturday - 12pm - 12am

Sunday 12pm-10:30pm
