There is good news for Macclesfield's nightlife.
A new bar has applied for a premises licence application.
The new town centre bar is called Duchess, as a reference to the bar partially facing and being inside Duke's Court.
The bar will be on Mill Street where Melrose Avenue used to be.
Kyle Frost-Morgan the sole owner & director of Dukes Hospitality Group seems to be expanding with yet another licensed premises application.
The applicant already owns other businesses in nearby Duke's Court called; No.8 Dukes, Dukebox, The White Lion, Duke's Deli, Total Aesthetics and Total Tanning.
The Duchess Bar plans to hold events like bottomless Prosecco nights, evenings for ladies, and speed dating evenings. Whilst focusing on serving incomparable cocktails, spirits, bombs and more.
The application is to provide: "Live Music, Recorded Music, Supply of Alcohol – Monday – Sunday – 12:00 – 03:00."
Due to premises license transfer issues from the previous owners, Kyle has no option to apply for a full premises license application.
Representations from the public can be made to The Licensing Section, C/O Delamere House, Delamere Street, Crewe, CW1 2LL. Or via emailing [email protected].
You have until November 8 to get your comments in.
In the meantime, you can follow the new bar on Facebook.
The full address is Duchess, Unit 2-3 Dukes Court, Mill Street, Macclesfield, Cheshire SK116NN.
