Spacious new salon opens on Macclesfield's Chestergate
Chestergate's rise in the face of adversity continues, as another empty shop has been filled.
Violet Salons, first reported to be coming to Macclesfield by Macclesfield Nub News in February, have opened their doors on Chestergate's east side.
Located where Just Fruit and Veg used to be, the new hair and beauty business is ran by Liam Fox.
His partner Andrew Jackson is also set to launch an aesthetics arm of the business in summer 2023. Violet Salons aims to be a one stop shop for all hair and beauty needs in the heart of the town centre.
"It is exciting to open Violet Salons in Macclesfield", said owner and manager Liam.
"I've been doing hair for 13 years now. I got into it after completing my business degree.
"I started doing mobile hairdressing shortly after I moved to live in Macclesfield in 2021.
"I was really grateful for the warm reception I received when I started mobile, I had managed to build up a really good clientele and it has just got to a point that I wanted to expand into a salon on the high street."Now we can serve more clients and offer more services."
"Now we can serve more clients and offer more services and really become part of the local community."
Violet Salons boasts three rooms, and an ethical edge.
Services includes all aspects of hairdressing and beauty and a vast range products to choose from, which you can also buy to take home with you.
"Our products are vegan and cruelty-free," added Liam.
"We currently work with many B Corp suppliers and hope to shortly apply for B Corp pending ourselves, which is basically a mantra that means planet and people come before profit.
"Hair and beauty is typically a highly polluting industry. So we are trying to do things a little differently to ensure we are as sustainable as possible and reduce our impact on the planet."
"We're also proud to be an Aveda salon, we share the same beliefs and ethos, and can't wait to show our clients the exceptional results and benefits of the naturally derived brand. We are the only Macclesfield Aveda salon on their website.
"The salon runs on renewable energy, we are also proud to have Green Salon Collective as our recycling partner to cut down on waste and reduce our impact on the planet.
"As well as being sustainable, eco-friendly and the premium product offering. Its our friendly, welcoming, safe space approach to our guests that I feel sets us apart."
They will soon also offer all types of beauty services, like spray tans, chemical peels, facials, nails, massage, lashes, and brows.
They are currently looking for beauticians and nail technicians to help Liam out with these options.
The business will launch their aesthetics side of the business in June.
"We are currently open Tuesday to Saturday,", Liam revealed.
"On Wednesday and Thursday we have late night opening from 9am to 8pm.
"We will be extending the opening hours once we have a larger team and will start opening on a Sunday. In the meantime, we will be open for walk-ins on Treacle Sundays."
They take cash and card. And for pricier services like hair extensions and aesthetics they accept BNPL options.
