AstraZeneca Macclesfield raised over £84,000 for local charities in 2025.

East Cheshire Hospice and Just Drop In have been presented with cheques for £47,692.95 and £36,098.40 respectively by the biopharmaceutical company.

It follows a packed programme of employee fundraising, matched donations and event sponsorship.

AZ's campus development manager Guy Camm said: "As we embark upon our 60th year at our Macclesfield base we are proud - and often amazed – at the enthusiasm and passion our teams have to support these amazing charities.

"We're delighted to match the funds raised by our teams, both of which provide such crucial support to individuals and families across our community."

Ann Wright from Just Drop In, an organisation that supports young people, added: "We need our community as much as our community needs us, and this amazing fundraising effort from AZ employees has given our small charity a huge boost.

"All monies will go towards helping local children who are finding life hard, so that they can face the future with hope and confidence."

In addition to fundraising, AZ's Macclesfield Campus supported both organisations throughout the course of 2025 with activities ranging from mentoring opportunities and Christmas gift donations for young people in need, to skills sharing and the provision of laptops

The company also sponsors the annual Christmas Tree collection organised by East Cheshire Hospice.

Rachel Allcock from East Cheshire Hospice said: "East Cheshire Hospice has been supported by AstraZeneca since before we first opened back in 1988.

"Each year we are amazed and humbled by the level of support we receive from the company and from its staff, and this year's total is just fantastic.

"Thank you from all of us, on behalf of all the patients and families who will be helped thanks to this generous donation"
