Independent business owner looking to discover more about his shop's history

An independent business owner is looking to discover more about his shop's history.
Martha Rose Interiors opened earlier this year at the Old Stables on Brook Street.
Now, owner Nev Hinchliffe is asking for local residents to share their memories of the property.
He said: "Long before Martha Rose Interiors welcomed customers through these doors, this beautiful building had already been part of Macclesfield's story for almost two centuries.
"When we renovated the showroom, preserving the character of this incredible building was just as important as creating a beautiful space inside.
"We're incredibly proud to be writing the next chapter in the history of the Old Stables through Martha Rose Interiors and Art in the Stables Gallery."

A plaque on the wall states that the Old Stables were erected in 1837.
In 1994 they were restored and reopened by Nicholas Winterton.
Nev has also discovered an old photograph which shows the building during its working days, complete with a horse and cart waiting outside.
He said: "It's amazing to imagine the people, horses, businesses and stories these walls have witnessed over the last 188 years."
Nev added: "If you've got any memories, photographs or stories about the Old Stables, we'd absolutely love to hear them!"
If you can help Nev discover more about his shop's history, leave a comment on Martha Rose Interiors' recent Facebook or Instagram post.
