  1. Macclesfield: Danes Moss petition against housing passes 6,000 signature milestone.

Reported first on Macclesfield Nub News, and later the BBC, the fate of a controversial 950 home development plan near a Nature Reserve will be discussed in April.

We've since posted two more articles on the controversial plans. However, it was the original one which was an instant success.

Despite being covered in the last days of February, the petition has gained 1,000 more signatures since we covered it.

On February 18, we revealed an epic crowdfunding hike for a woman who used to live near Buxton Road.

Despite her passing, her family are honouring her legacy and raising awareness for the condition which took her life.

At the start of the month, we were first to reveal of a new retro music bar coming to Macclesfield.

Cult films and international flicks returned to a Macclesfield pub for the first time since 2019.
