1. Macclesfield: Danes Moss petition against housing passes 6,000 signature milestone.

Reported first on Macclesfield Nub News, and later the BBC, the fate of a controversial 950 home development plan near a Nature Reserve will be discussed in April.

We've since posted two more articles on the controversial plans. However, it was the original one which was an instant success.

Despite being covered in the last days of February, the petition has gained 1,000 more signatures since we covered it.

Closing today (as of the date of publication of this article) Wreckless Vape Company is moving from Church Street to a shop on Mill Street.

It is a pandemic business success story, which government grants led a Macclesfield shop owner to take risks and develop more e-cigarette products.

1. Snowdon crowdfunder for late Macclesfield woman

On February 18, we revealed an epic crowdfunding hike for a woman who used to live near Buxton Road.

Despite her passing, her family are honouring her legacy and raising awareness for the condition which took her life.

At the start of the month, we were first to reveal of a new retro music bar coming to Macclesfield.

It is the latest endeavour for Macclesfield entrepreneur Kyle Frost.

1. Macclesfield: Cinema nights return to The Park Tavern this week

Cult films and international flicks returned to a Macclesfield pub for the first time since 2019.

The Macclesfield event is held every Thursday and Sunday at 158 Park Lane.

The first indication that Macclesfield's Marks and Spencer building will be used for multiple purposes was revealed this month.

A chef from Kerridge sailed through the competition of Great British Menu this month, and our initial article with him performed the best, as you can read here.

1. Macclesfield: New gym and BP garage earmarked for Barracks Mill development

Macclesfield Nub News was first to reveal two more big brands coming to the Barracks Mill Retail Park.

This means there is just one more space left at the Hurdsfield development off've Black Lane to be filled.
