This month's Treacle Market takes place on Sunday, 30th July, 10am - 3pm.

It has been two years since Andy and Becky Thompson took over the Treacle Market from Jane Munro.

Along the way, Macclesfield Nub News has followed the organisers and been lucky to catch-up with them each month to preview what is coming up for that month's market.

Here's what is to come at the Treacle Market this weekend.

"I can't believe it has been two years", said Becky.

"It has gone so quickly. But when I look back at the growth we have had and the changes we have done, a lot has happened."

"This Sunday is going to be a very busy market, what Macclesfield knows and loves.

"We're fully booked on stalls but with some regulars on holiday, some new stalls will shake things up a bit as well.

"Crabby Crafts, who made their Treacle debut last month, will return with their kooky eco-positive business on Mill Street. They repurpose glass bottles into new objects, such as plant pots and candles.

"Fun to Learn will be returning with their kid-friendly jigsaws, for their sophomore Treacle Market after a month break.

"Manchester-based stall Misshandled, who handcraft products from the magical mineral gemstone jesmonite, are coming back.

"Macclesfield caterers Feastable will bookend the top of the town, there's mobile Venezuelan, Italian, Cypriot and Greek street food. Or if you don't fancy something continental, just head to Castle Street for a Sunday mid-morning oatcake.

"In the Old Butter Market, there's Dick Vincent, In twos and Threes Embroidery, Be-Stoke Pebble Art, Z in the Attic, Sarah Jane Jewellery, Layoes and Meddlars, Happy Badger and Sophie Stock Art.

"Outside, it will be the last Treacle Market for Jimmyscissors mobile barber."

The charities and non-profits on St. Michael's Churchyard will be 'SAVE DANES MOSS', One Project, East Cheshire Eye Society, East Cheshire Hospice and the Disability Information Bureau.

Josh the moving Castle Street pianist will return, fingers crossed it will be nice weather for the travelling musician, who takes song requests.

cygnets Macclesfield will be doing Grease, to promote their performance at MADS Theatre this September. Annie's Saints and Sinners, Macc Brass, and Dos Equis

Also new in terms of entertainment is duo Juno and Faith (of The Button Warehouse fame), rounding out the performance bill. Lyme Green mobile bar Caravan Bar will be serving tipples, with Gingers selling ice cream nearby.

As well as traders from across the shires and the north west, if you need a reminder of what regular and Macclesfield-based stalls are usually at the market, random examples include Fatima's Kitchen, SiDa, The Cheshire Cheese Company, and Cup and Cloth.

Looking further ahead this weekend, the dog show is also confirmed to return in September's Treacle Market, and will be promoted at next month's market.
