Six convenience stores in Macclesfield will be donating chocolates to those in need this Christmas.
The Co-op Food is encouraging customers to buy a chocolate box and donate it in-store.
The boxes will be given to either those using the services of East Cheshire Hospice or The Children's Ward at Macclesfield Hospital.
Your gift could brighten up the Christmas of a patient and their families who are having a challenging time this festive period.
All you have to do is buy a box at one of the chosen Co-op Macclesfield stores and mention that you'd like it to be donated to the cause.
You can donate a box of chocolates at the following Macclesfield Co-op stores:
- Co-op West Park Drive
- Co-op Thornton Square
- Co-op Ivymeade
- Co-op Westmoreland Close
- Co-op Prestbury
- Co-op Bollington
The idea was the brainchild of new West Park Drive Co-op Store Manager Chris Rose, who will be distributing and presenting the boxes to the two Macclesfield good causes.
East Cheshire Hospice provides support to those affected with life-limiting illnesses on Millbank Drive.
And on the other end of the age spectrum, the Children's Ward at Macclesfield Hospital cares for children with a wide range of conditions.
Lisa Ball, Fundraiser at East Cheshire Hospice said: "We are super excited to receive lots of selection boxes for our patients, families, nurses, staff and volunteers.
"It's a real treat for us and will bring lots of happiness to everyone in the Christmas period.
"A big thank you to the Co-op for being so supportive, and all the customers who kindly donate."
You have until the stores close at 11pm on Sunday December 18 to get your donations in, so they can be delivered in time for Christmas.
