Macclesfield: What's on at the Treacle Market this weekend?

As well as plenty of other events going in in Macclesfield, the biggest thing to do will be the Treacle Market.

Macclesfield Nub News met up with Becky Thompson, Treacle Market Co-Organiser to find out what is new.

A handmade kids jigsaw store which made their Treacle debut last month will be making their second appearance. 

BeStoke Pebble Art who also had their first Treacle Market in January are also returning for another go at Treacletown. 

Macclesfield Children and Baby Library are back after a trial stall last month, this time they are sharing a space with Macclesfield good cause One Project. They will sell pay what you want kids toys and baby paraphernalia to help those struggling.

BrewBox will be the mobile bar, and there's also entertainment with Dos Esquis on Exchange Street

The new Treacle Market partnership with Macclesfield College will continue as they have students sharing their talents on Castle Street.

Meanwhile veteran performers Annie's Saints and Sinners will be on Market Place. They'll be followed by Rock Choir singing outside Macclesfield Town Hall.

The live music will culminate with Red Sky Dawn, who will be making their Treacle Market debut just weeks after release their first EP

RSD hope to use the opportunity to promote Cinemac gig, The teenage post-punk band will perform on Market Place at 2pm. 

As ever, ELOV have been putting the Treacle Market signs out, making the Market a bit more sustainable through their carbon zero cargo delivery. 

A Treacle rebrand will be planned in March and April with a new logo, using local designers. 

This Sunday's Treacle Market will be on at the same time, same place. Will you be there?
