Thursday (08/10)
Art Fair Cheshire 2026

The biennial Art Fair Cheshire takes over Macclesfield Town Hall from Thursday, October 8.
Throughout the week, visitors can explore a carefully curated exhibition featuring original paintings, sculpture, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, glasswork and mixed media pieces.
Each artist donates a percentage of their sales to East Cheshire Hospice, helping to fund the essential services they provide across Macclesfield, Buxton, Congleton, Knutsford, Wilmslow and the surrounding areas.
Saturday (10/10)
Edward German's Merrie England

Macclesfield Oriana Choir invites you to their concert performance of Merrie England by Edward German.
Set during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, this light-hearted comic opera follows the romantic rivalries and intrigues when a secret love letter wrongly falls into the Queen's hands.
All Kinds of Roses

Phil Speight is one of the last craftspeople teaching the traditional skills of canal painting.
In this friendly weekend course at his Bollington workshop, he will show you that there's more than one kind of canal rose.
Last Night of the Proms

Up the road in Knutsford, it's the Last Night of the Proms which will be raising money for East Cheshire Hospice, Macmillan and the Church Organ Fund.
The event will feature performances by Britain's Got Talent semifinalists Denise Leigh and Stefan Andrusyschyn.
More information, including how to purchase tickets, can be found here.
