Windy weather kept lots of us inside last weekend, but thankfully sunny skies are forecast.

Friday (28/02) - Baby Massage

A five-week baby massage course starts at Gawsworth Village Hall this Friday.

Suitable for babies who are not yet crawling, parents will learn all the skills and strokes of baby massage.

There will also be the chance to socialise with other new parents over homemade cakes.

Friday (28/02) - A Little Light

Loola Loves on Chestergate is hosting its first art exhibition of the year, A Little Light.

Six artists feature, each bringing work filled with colour to help raise spirits.

The launch party on Friday will feature complimentary refreshments along with entertainment from Soulful Sunday DJs.

Saturday (01/03) - Raffle

Macclesfield and District Lions will be running a daily raffle throughout March, Brain Tumour Awareness Month.

They are hoping to raise at least £2,000 for Brain Tumour Research, a national charity focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumourrs.

A huge range of prizes are on offer thanks to the support of local businesses, including Macclesfield FC, Arighi Bianchi, Shrigley Hall, Prime Cut, and All Things Nice.

Saturday (01/3) - Ava Reid

Ava Reid's solo art exhibition at the Silk Museum comes to a close on Saturday.

The 22-year-old will be in attendance to sign postcards and talk about her work.

'APPARENTLY IT'S ME' showcases work inspired by Ava's family, friends, pets and the places she loves.

Saturday (01/03) - Grief Walk

Laura Doherty is leading a 'guided grief walk' along the River Goyt.

The two-mile trek is designed to give those grieving or in need of a boost a chance to connect with nature.

There will also be optional guided practices along the way

Tuesday (04/03) - Pancake Race

The Macclesfield Pancake Race makes a welcome return next Tuesday.

Raising money for East Cheshire NHS Charity, competitors will sprint up and down Mill Street while tossing pancakes in frying pans.

There will be lots of prizes up for offer, including an award for best fancy dress, while Silk FM will be on hand to keep crowds entertained before, during and after the race.
