With a mixture of free and ticketed events, including some from our Macclesfield What's On page, here's the FOUR finest events we think you should do in Macclesfield this weekend.

Scarecrow Season

Rainow Scarecrow Fortnight.

It is an age-old tradition, and a precursor to next week's Rainbow Fete.

Scarecrow season has begun in the Macclesfield parish of Rainow!

The first day they will be ready is on Saturday, and with the weather set to be decent, why not head to Rainow Church after you have spotted them all for some refreshments?

This year, the tradition will raise money for a charity in Buxton. More info HERE.

African Craft

The Silk Museum on Park Lane.

There's Egyptian Craft going on at Park Lane this weekend.

There will be weaving, printing, painting, sculpting and more every Saturday at The Silk Museum.

This Saturday from 1pm there will be Egyptian pectorals being made, inspired by a stunning Tutankhamun design.
