Young Macclesfield cyclist raises over £2300 for NHS cystic fibrosis treatment
A Macclesfield schoolboy has undertook a gruelling charity cycle for a cystic fibrosis awareness.
Connor Murray (8) pedalled 100 miles with his family to fundraise for cystic fibrosis units at Manchester Children's Hospital and Wythenshawe Hospital.
It is after his dad Lee (43) suffers from the organ-affecting genetic disorder.
Connor biked local routes across the Macclesfield area with his dad and mum earlier this month.
Proud mum Claire Murray, who works as a vet in Macclesfield, revealed how the challenge went.
"Connor has completed his challenge and ended up cycling a total of 114 miles in 5 days," said Claire.
"He was amazing. And so far he has raised over £2300.
"As a family, we would like to thank everyone who has donated for their generosity and support.
"If anyone does still want to donate you can do so on the link here."
The 'bike-mad' boy attends Prestbury Church of England Primary School, on Bollin Grove.

Connor was even commended by famous cystic fibrosis businessman Rob Law MBE, who founded rideable suitcase business Trunki.
