New businesses that have opened in Macclesfield this year (so far)
In our ongoing efforts to champion Macclesfield's high street, we thought we would compile a list of all the new businesses that has opened in and around the Macclesfield area in 2024.
So whether it is in the town centre or Macclesfield parish, here are the new businesses that have become a fixture of our area this year.
In no particular order…
Periwinkle & Clay
Situated where OFFSETT clothes store used to be, Periwinkle and Clay opened in Macclesfield this March.
The ceramic art decorating store holds events for all ages, making the arts accessible to everyone.

Panadero Lounge
Panadero Lounge opened inside the former Poundland on Mill Street in March.
Loungers Group already operate similar businesses in Buxton and Wilmslow.
It is a welcome return boost to Mill Street's nightlife economy, which has been neglected in recent years.
Nomad
Not to be confused with the Gunco Lane vehicle repair shop of the same name, or Chestergate coffee shop of a very similar one, Nomad is a new coffee shop which opened in the spring in Macclesfield.
Located on 205 Buxton Road, where Cakeface by James used to be, they sell cakes, pastries, drinks and more.

The Laab
Replacing Ocha Thai restaurant, The Laab is a Thai and Asian street food eatery which opened in Macclesfield halfway into the year.
Located on 6a Market Place, the eatery is available to enjoy at home or in-store.

Bollington Brewing Company Taproom
Bollington Brewing Company has moved to Macclesfield, and even opened a new bar there.
Their new home is located on Parker Street.
They have had soft launches in recent months, and will fully open their new taproom in August.
Drink their beer just inches away from where it was made!

The Nose
Formerly known as the Tegg's Nose Tearoom, The Nose is the name of the new management that runs the coffee shop at Tegg's Nose Country Park.
Ran by a mother and daughter, the new operation launched in the spring.
Open Monday to Sunday, 9am to 4pm.
The Church House
It has been a pub for as long as we all remember, but new management came in earlier this year.
Sean and Kristen Lucey are the new landlords of The Church House Sutton.

Macclesfield Alpacas
Also in Sutton, Macclesfield Alpacas is a new alpaca farm that you can visit.
You can feed over 100 alpacas in the idyllic Macclesfield countryside.
The farm also has a shop full of alpaca themed products, including many items made from alpaca wool.

Supps Hub
Supps Hub opened on Charlotte Street this March.
The workout adjacent store is where Macclesfield's smallest Cohens Chemist used to be.

The Church House
A Bollington pub reopened this year.
The Church House, on Church Street and Chapel Street, was reopened in the spring by a Cheshire publican.

Heritage Hair Salon and Nathan's Barbers
There is two hair businesses at one address now in Macclesfield.
Heritage Hair Salon, of 38 Charlotte Street, moved upstairs at the start of this year.
Then, moving in downstairs is Nathan's Barbers, a gents-oriented hair salon offering 'unlimited haircuts' with a subscription-like model.
Total Security Experts
Total Security Experts has moved from Bollington to Macclesfield.
They used to be located in Clarence Mill, but now their Westminster Road premises gives them more visibility to passing traffic and pedestrians.
They are located next to R&R's coffee shop.
Speaking off...
R&Rs Café
A new breakfast and lunch spot opened on Westminster Road, replacing a former sandwich bar.
R&Rs Café is located at 106 Westminster Road.
