No. 10 Former Macclesfield Rugby Player Launches Alcohol Free Beer
The first story published chronologically on the list, is the tenth most read story in our countdown. But this was no April fool!
A bunch of current Sale Sharks players - including one who played for Macc Rugby Club on Priory Lane - recently launched a new beer.
Their latest brew is a refreshing alcohol free alternative, for which you can read more about here.
No. 9 Macclesfield East Cheshire Hospice Charity Shop to Relaunch
The first of a trio of Chestergate stories on this list, our ninth most read story was Macc Nub confirming the return of the East Cheshire Hospice Charity Shop.
Keep your eyes peeled to Macclesfield Nub News, as we will be covering the shop's reopening in May.

We love a positive story at Nub News, but sometimes we have to report on the sad.
April confirmed that Velo Cafe on Chestergate would not be reopening, after an almost five month absence.
But the eatery will remain a cafe, when new owners Cafe Mustard move in the coming months.

While local print media was lacking in early April's Macclesfield Broken Cross and Upton Ward by-election, Nub News produced six articles on the vote.
This included interviews with every candidate, and coverage on the night by attending the count.
No. 4 Ian Curtis passport photo taken in Macclesfield sold for £7,500
Macclesfield Nub News is always first to report news on our town's favourite son. And four days before our competitors, we revealed that a piece of Ian Curtis memorabilia had sold for almost eight grand.
As well as providing context to the historic photograph, we also had a quick chat with the auctioneers, who were based just outside of Cheshire.

A heartwarming tale from a young dad with a very simple idea.
A story reported nowhere else, Liam Lowndes has introduced FREE reusable covers to prevent drink spiking.
The Macclesfield bar owner has received widespread acclaim from the security industry, as well as punters at his Macclesfield business and on social media.
