14th Jun 2023 | Local News
It is that time of the week again, where we preview the best four Macclesfield events happening over the next few days.
Here's Macclesfield Nub News' top for picks for things to do this weekend for the weekend commencing Friday June 16 2023.
If we've missed any events, don't forget, you can add it to our Macclesfield What's On page.
Barnaby Festival
It has been four years and a whole pandemic later, but Barnaby is back in town.
The arts scheme has a lot to shout about in Macc, and will kick off with a Thursday poetry evening in The Button Warehouse and have events taking place all across town until Sunday.
Highlights include a post-parade party in Christ Church, local musicians performing in RedWillow, and live jazz at St. Mike's.
There are 28 Barnaby events happening across town.

Carboot
They've been going so well they're doing another.
The Macc Academy will be having another car boot sale this weekend.
And it is not too late to reserve a seller's pitch for this Sunday.

Sellers £5. Adult shoppers £1. Under 16s free.
Eco Day Out
If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of the town centre but still enjoy the Great British summer, the Macclesfield Forest parishes have plenty going on.
Wincle Brewery will be open on Saturday serving their beers brewed on-site, as well as welcoming a local eco-action group.
Dane Valley Action Group will be running an Information and Activity stall at the picturesque brewery.
From 10am to 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday there will be fun, all-aged activities.
These will include tree plantings, talks on how to protect nature, minimise carbon footprint, and get involved in volunteering. More info www.dvcag.org.uk.
Family Fun Day
A Mill Street pub is welcoming the community in this weekend, a few weeks after their big refurb relaunch.
On Saturday 17th June, from 12pm-5pm, The White Lion will host a family fun day.
There will be a free bouncy castle in their revamped outdoor area, a garden DJ, face painting and stonebaked pizzas from their new food menu.
Free entry.
