Quantity Surveyor - Fit Out Construction

Location: Macclesfield, UK

Salary: Up to 70,000 per annum + Company Car

Our esteemed client, a prominent player in the construction industry, is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor with a focus on fit out projects. As a pivotal member of the team, you will contribute to the success of projects through effective cost management and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cost Management: Oversee and manage the cost aspects of fit out construction projects, ensuring budgetary control and financial efficiency.
2. Contract Administration: Skillfully administer contracts, including the negotiation and review of variations, claims, and disputes.
3. Fast Track Fit Out (Desirable): While not essential, experience in fast track fit out projects is desirable and will be considered an asset.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and successful project delivery.
5. Risk Assessment: Identify and address potential risks related to cost and contractual obligations, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
6. Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior quantity surveyors, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

Requirements:

1. Fit Out Construction Experience: A proven track record of successful quantity surveying within the fit out construction sector.
2. Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
3. Fast Track Fit Out (Desirable): Preferred experience with fast track fit out projects, although not mandatory.
4. Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial awareness, analytical skills, and the ability to make informed decisions.
5. Location: Applicants must be based in or willing to relocate to Macclesfield.
