Electrical Engineer Location: Poynton 45,000 - 55,000

Job Description:

As an Electrical Engineer you will play a crucial role in the development, production, and support of PLC and HMI software across a variety of platforms. You will work with minimal assistance to design, specify, and issue electrical hardware parts lists and control panels according to contract specifications. Additionally, you will specify technical requirements for bought-out equipment and produce machine functional specifications and test specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and produce PLC and HMI software for various platforms with minimal assistance.
• Design, specify, and issue electrical hardware parts lists and control panels as per contract specifications.
• Specify technical requirements for bought-out equipment.
• Produce machine functional specifications and test specifications.
• Test equipment in assembly shop and on customer sites as required.
• Provide technical and commissioning support to Installation & Commissioning/Customer Services in the office and on site.
• Assist in researching and developing new products when required.
• Aid in the preparation of proposals and quotes.
• Brief sales, commercial, manufacturing, customer services, and installation & commissioning departments on existing specifications and latest developments of equipment when necessary.
• Uphold company values and behaviors, serving as a role model.
• Adhere to all company Health & Safety policies and procedures, ensuring the safety of oneself and others.

Candidate Profile:

• Motivated individual with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Experience in installing and commissioning process equipment preferred, with knowledge of programming and fault-finding on PLC systems desirable (in-house training provided).
• Ability to develop and produce software to functional specifications.
• Familiarity with existing product range advantageous.
• Knowledge of ATEX would be beneficial.
