We are looking for a Junior Design Engineer for a busy electrical manufacturer in Macclesfield.

The ideal candidate would be someone with a Degree in Electrical Design Engineering and good experience using AutoCAD to produce drawings and calculations, feasibility reports, design specifications.

Main Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement electrical systems and control panels, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout designs. Collaborate with the mechanical engineering team to ensure system integration and compatibility. Verify electrical designs meet performance and safety standards. Troubleshoot and optimise existing electrical and control systems for better performance and reliability. Ensure compliance with industry regulations Provide technical support to manufacturing and field teams as needed. Continuously improve electrical and control system designs to enhance performance, efficiency, and reliability. Lead root cause analysis for electrical and control system failures and implement corrective actions. Support the development of electrical design standards and best practices for the engineering department.

Work closely with design team and senior engineers.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field. Experience in designing electrical systems and control panels in industrial or heavy equipment manufacturing environments. Proficiency in PLC control systems programming

AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical. Familiarity with SolidWorks Electrical, or similar design software. Strong knowledge of electrical standards and safety codes. Effective problem-solving and project management skills.Whats on:
