Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Tig Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and be proficient in working with sheet metal. This role involves fabricating and assembling components using various welding methods, primarily TIG welding. The successful applicant will demonstrate mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate both hand and power tools effectively.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding on sheet metal components, ensuring high-quality welds that meet specifications.
- Assemble and fabricate metal structures and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Utilise various hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts.
- Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Tig Welder or similar role in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficiency in welding techniques, including stick welding, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Ability to work effectively with hand tools and power tools in a safe manner.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
