Our Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy Department are excited to announce that we are looking for a team member to join the department as a Lecturer in Hairdressing on a part time basis.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Hairdressing team to deliver effective teaching, learning and assessment to learners across a range of VTCT qualifications.

You will also have some course leadership and internal verification responsibilities.

Suitable applicants must possess a relevant qualification to at least Level 3, a Teaching Qualification to the required national standards and hold a Level 2 qualification in Mathematics, English & IT or have a willingness to work towards the qualifications in a timely manner. Assessor or Verifier awards are also desirable for this position.

Successful applicants will have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within an FE environment and previous experience within the Hair & Beauty industries.

Main Duties for this role include:

To plan teaching, learning and assessment for college programmes using the appropriate college format to ensure effective learning.

To deliver teaching and learning to at least a consistently good or outstanding standard to achieve high success rates.

To assess accurately learners work both formatively and summatively against appropriate awarding body criteria to ensure learners achieve their qualifications.

To use all appropriate resources effectively to ensure that the learners' experience results in positive learning outcomes and high professional standards.

To support learners progress through personal tutoring and parent/careers evenings to help learners achieve their full potential and progress appropriately.
