Salary: £27,000 - £35,000

Position Overview:We are looking for a talented and experienced Data Cabling Engineer who will play a crucial role in designing, installing, and maintaining structured cabling systems for our clients. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of Cat5, Cat6, and Fiber Optic cabling, along with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. This role is based in Macclesfield and involves travel within the Northwest region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, and test Cat5, Cat6, and Fiber Optic cabling systems.
- Design and implement structured cabling solutions to meet client requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data cabling and network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide technical expertise and support during the planning and implementation phases.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Data Cabling Engineer with expertise in Cat5, Cat6, and Fiber Optic cabling.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for structured cabling systems.
- Familiarity with network equipment, switches, routers, and related hardware.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the Northwest region.
Education and Certifications:
- Certification in data cabling or related field (e.g., City and Guilds, IPAF, ECS, CSCS, PASMA) is preferred.
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
