Our client is seeking a Centre Principal to join us in the New Year! Start your 2025 with our client to inspire and shape the future of their students where you can make a lasting impact. The Role As Centre Principal, you will ensure there is a responsive, engaging and high-quality curriculum provision that provides progression routes to further study and employment through innovative, engaging and outstanding delivery. You will be responsible for the achievement of the centre business plan in relation to curriculum, student recruitment, quality assurance, finance, people and corporate services. - Planning and Curriculum Development:
- Responsible for maintaining and developing innovative and challenging curriculum using up-to-date course design strategies.
- Developing teaching, assessment and learning practices to ensure sector leading learning experiences for all learners.
- Ensure the production of high-quality schemes of work across the curriculum area, monitoring their delivery and supervising assessment strategies.
- Oversee the tracking and monitoring of learner progress and reporting.
- To co-ordinate the IV/EV requirements of the curriculum and to work with the teams in
- order to ensure awarding body criteria and expectations are met.
- Staff Management:
- Undertake a strong and supportive line management function, including setting and monitoring of performance management, individual and team development and staff recruitment and retention in line with the College s Human Resources Policies and Procedures.
- Plan and chair regular curriculum area meetings ensuring that notes of the meeting are recorded and actions are recorded in SMART format. All team meetings should cover:
- Budget Management:
- Defining and delivering the departmental budget ensuring appropriate allocation of departmental resources to support academic programmes.
- Student Support and Experience:
- Overseeing admission and progression of students within the department and dealing with matters relating to their performance and conduct.
- External Engagement:
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to ensure that academic programmes are aligned with workforce needs and local economic development.
